התוויה	For the treatment of herpes simplex virus infections of the skin and mucous membranes including initial and recurrent genital herpes. For the suppression (prevention of recurrences) of recurrent herpes simplex infections in immune-competent patients. For the prophylaxis of herpes simplex infections in immune-compromised patients. For the treatment of herpes zoster infections . For the treatment of chickenpox in the following groups: Non-pregnant patients over 13 years-of-age who are otherwise healthy. Children over 12 months of age with a chronic cutaneous or pulmonary condition, or receiving long-term salicylate therapy. Children receiving short or intermittent courses of aerosolized corticosteroids.
